My research focuses on the history of death and burial, ancient mortuary practices, image and identity making, and museum ethics. I consider myself a generalist of the ancient world and a specialist in ancient Anatolia and ancient western Asia.
I recently completed my fellowship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where I conducted research on the ancient Anatolian collection. Currently, I work on the Anatolian and Mesopotamian collections at the Vorderasiatisches Museum Berlin.
